Netspeak. Yay or nay?

Does Netspeak annoy you a bit? Do you reply to discussions whose topic starter uses it excessively?
I don't know if I'm just picky or what, but I hate it and it often does turn me off from reading discussions where everything is written like "Wat do U like 2 do 4 fun" or "hOw RU 2dAy". Some shortcuts here and there are fine of course, but more than 2 lines of that makes me click my back button. Am I the only one?

I think that netspeak is so annoying. To me the person who writes it is just too lazy to type a few words out. It just takes a minute to spell the entire word and give a complete thought.

Exactly.. and them being too lazy to write their own thoughts out, makes me too lazy to want to read and reply. Sometimes I wish proper writing would be a rule in myLot, but then maybe that's pushing it. Haha.

It's just hard on the eyes I think. Actually, I don't why people use netspeak at all on mylot, as you get more money for longer discussions/responses. So if they're trying to save time, they're also depriving themselves of cashola. When I first started, i was not even using conjunctions, but that got old after a while, and now I can't do without them. :)

You know that's a great point. I never thought about how netspeak could be potentially depriving those who use it out of money. Here's hoping that they catch on to this and start writing in normally!
Thanks for the reply!

I can't stand Netspeak. There are tiny bits and pieces that I will occasionally use, but if I see something written entirely in Netspeak, I will just turn around and go to look at something else.

I'm so glad it's not only me! Sometimes I see discussions written like that with 30+ replies and I ask myself "How?" I've came to the conclusion that it must not bother the majority.
Thanks for the reply!
