Will you self-invite yourself to your friends' house?

That's a good question. Hmm, probably I won't because in my opinion it is a rude gesture and my friend might've been angry to me or worse, it could deter our friendship. Even though we consider ourselves as friends, I would still ask his permission before going there and self-inviting myself. But it could depend too, if I mean to do a surprise appearance I could consider inviting myself. But then again, I'd have to feel first if it is okay. Instincts would come in by that scenario.

From the Western culture, I think it is impolite to self-invite to anyone's house. But this still happens occasionally. LOL

My boyfriend and I usually do that a lot. We always go to our friends' houses without being invited just to visit them. I think they find it very thoughtful and they always entertain us when we visit. Sometimes, we also ask them out instead of just staying in their homes so it would be a lot more fun. Almost everyone in our country are friendly and hospitable so sometimes it doesn't really matter if your invited or not. I guess when it comes to friends, invitations aren't really necessary since they're already like family.

I like your custom and culture as it sounds friends are just like a family.
