Hello,
I believe most of us know about Yoga and its benefits. Are you practising Yoga ? If yes, how long ? How are you benefited by it ? Any specific ones, that can really motivate people like me to start practising it ?

I practice what is known as ashtanga or "power" yoga, because it is more like a work out. I have a slight case of scoliosis and my rib can pop out of place and push on my lung - very painful!! I had to go to a chiropractor once a month for about 12 years. Since I started yoga I have not been to the chiroprator once!! I don't practice as much as I should, but I know when I have to, because I can start to feel small tightening around my rib - yoga fixes it. Overall, your posture will improve, making you look more slender and have a greater presence, as will your flexibility. I also used to get sore legs, because I'm short and wear heels all the time - my calf muscles had shortened!! All gone now! Good luck - nameste!

I felt really very happy that Yoga had really helped in your bad times of pain. Thats the power of Yoga, and that why its been very famous all over the world. Simple, but powerful.

I only practise surya aksana I think that's what it's called. I have breathing problem and this is how I tackle it without medicine. I do it everytime I feel the difficulties, I never use medication for it. I am not a smoker or a swimmer, and as a child I was born with this problem. Yoga doesn't fix the problems, but I am happy enough that it makes it lighter I am happy that way.
