how do you call your partner?

I agree with some of the others. Before my wife, i never used pet names for anyone. But we routinely call each other baby, sweetie, honey. Mostly it's, hey, baby? First names only usually get used in very serious conversations, or situations. Or when there's mock trouble play. At which point first and middle names get tossed around. It's a very hard habit to break. The first year we were together, before we were married, we broke up for a couple of weeks over some misunderstandings, but still communicated. It was one of the hardest things i ever had to do was not call her baby. Thank goodness i didn't have to break that habit! We've been together 6 years and counting.

Me and my boyfriend calls each other "asawa ko" which in english means, my husband or my wife. lol. We got the idea from our classmates...and we somehow adopted it and started calling each other that. hehe

My ex and I were together almost 7 years... I called him Monk and he called me ms. monk. We both like monkeys... so that's where it came from.

For the longest time my husband and I have called each other sweetie. I don't even know how it got started because I was never one to use pet names before lol. It even feels weird if I have to call him by his real name somewhere lol.

ok ok, i will confess, although we call each other baby, and i tell my friends "bi tch" but when no one is around we have our own special pet names, and it all started 10 years ago, the day we got together as a couple..... i call her baby carrot, as shes small, 5ft and a bit! as she likes to say! lol and she would call me giant pea, as im alot taller than her, at a height of 6 ft 2, so we have always said we are like a traditional plate, one doesnt look good with out the other, carrots and peas...... and on each anniversary or special occasion, when its time to hand over a card or present, it will always have, to my special "baby carrot" or to my "humongus giant pea"! but i really didnt wanna put this down, but seein as everyone els is being honest, i figured, i may aswell me honest aswell, although my 1st comment was not a lie either, just not the whole truth

i call my partner baby no matter where we are, i dont care wot ppl think, its my life, but thats only what i call her, if i was interducin her to friends, id say, "this is my bi tch" or she would say, "im his bi tch", theres no real meaning to it, its just something that happend, and we both see the funny side to it!

I don't call him by name.I usually call him "idiot".Maybe this is not a beautiful word,but I really like to use it .He calls me the same.Maybe that's a special way to express our feeling.It is funny by calling and be called idiot.hahahaha Is it interesting ?

i call my husband 'mahal', a filipino term for love :) it is our term of endearment for more than three years now and it still works. it expresses how much we love each other.

I call my partner 'love' because I truly love him. I would have called him 'mahal', which is the Filipino word for love but I think that it would be too cheesy already here. Hehe!

My boyfriend and I just celebrated our 4th year together. We call each other 'kepo' its a chinese word meaning 'to know everything' in tagalog 'pinapakialaman lahat ng bagay', we used to say that word as an expression and soon we were calling each other that word. Funny though coz its not the usual sweet words or pet names as you may call it. But i dont mind :), we will be getting married this september :)

Me and my boyfriend call each other "Love". It has a story behind it that's why we started calling each other that. Sometimes, we call each other other names too like "Hun", "Babe", "Baby", "Dear", etc. but "Love" is really what we use ^_^
