What for? Or at least, do you still know anybody else who use it? Or, when was the last time you used it? The last time I used the old fashioned typewriter was on 2002 when I had to make baptismal letters for some people. Do you think that the typewriter period is over?

I dont really remember when is the last time i use my typewriter. Most of my typing job using a computer. I dont like to use the typewriter especially when i make some typing error. Its make me sick. I do think the typewriter peroid is over ( only for manual type) but for electronic typewriter is still usefull.

Sure... You're right, Anjrit! More power, and we must be ready to make corrections manually with tip-ex. Have nice days!

I think for themost part they are. We still use them at work for bills of lading for the trucks. It is the first company that I have been at in the last 10 years that uses one. Everybody else has switched to a computer formats. But my boss likes somethings the old fashion way.

I think most of old people, like your boss, feels hard to follow the latest technology, I do not know factually. Or maybe using typewrtiter (non-electric) will give us unique documents, stronger in a sense of originality. Thanks Limosonia1. Best regards!

I think that i last used a typewriter almost 8 years back. And that too just for the sake of using it. I still remember i had gone with my dad to his office, and a guy there was using it. SO, i also asked him if i could give it a try or not. He allowed me to do so. And i typed in my name. That was the first and the last time that i had used a typewriter. And i think that there are not many opportunities in the future where i would be using it again.

Hehehe...so it was an unforgetable experience for you, wasn't it? Poor typewriter... Yeah, I think so. Or, would you provide a contest for typing skill using typewriter? Hehehe... Thanks Cyclops_online2004. Happy days!

I'd say they're still useful for form filling, but of course there is a way to do this with a computer as well. It takes a few extra sheets of paper to do it, though.

... and needs skill too, to set the field placement properly. Thanks Santuccie, happy days!

At my old office, I used the typewriter fairly often. We had to fill out a lot of forms that were not computerized, and it was easier to type them on the typewriter than to try to figure out how to run them through the computer printer.

I see... I still meet some people do that. They just know how to write and edit text with MS Word application, but do not know how to set up some advanced feautures available in the application. Thanks Scarywhitegirl. Happy days!

I know some company's who still use typewriter. But most of them I think, they're already using electric typewriter so its more easier to erase if you mistyped something. I still have my portable typewriter with me and it's still working but I'm not using it anymore . I don't want to give it away or throw it though because its was my "handyman" in making my projects when I was in grade school since computers are still not available for home use that time ;)
