Let's take a vote. Sure Disney has more history...and a themepark or two, but personally I'm a Pixar fan. How about you?

Pixar was, until recently, an independant company which had a distribution deal with Disney to distribute its films (Toy Story, Incredibles, etc.). That deal was to end with Cars, last year, and animosity between Michael Eisner (then head of Disney) and Pixar would have severed the relationship. Eventually, Eisner was pushed out at Disney (none too soon, but that's another story...) and Disney purchased Pixar (for about $7 billion). Hence, in effect, they are now the same company, but Pixar productions (like the upcoming Ratatouille) are completely seperate from Disney animated productions (Meet the Robinsons).
Rumors suggest Disney wants to consolidate things a bit, possibly dropping the Pixar name entirely and labeling future productions as Disney movies, period. Problem is, Disney's own recent track record in animation is pitiful, while Pixar has had an unbroken string of successful films (though Cars was seen as somewhat disappointing). Much is said to be riding on the success or failure of Ratatouille later this month.
And yes, I am a fan of both traditional Disney (Snow White, Lion King, etc.) and Pixar (Finding Nemo).
