We only bathe our puppy when she is dirty or smelly. My kids got marshmallows on her fur the other day so se definitely needed a bath. At first she hated them, but now that she is getting used to them she kind of likes it.

I don't give my bath to my dog very often unless they got stink or dirty .The reason why i try to avoid from giving them bath because they needs the natural oil to protect them from infection and sick.I learned this from my experience.

Dont bathe it more often than once a fortnight. Any more than that, you'll strip the natural oils out of its coat that it needs to protect itself and for insulation.

When I adopted my dog, the lady at the Humane society told me to only bathe her once a month. It can irritate or dry out the skin if the dog is bathed more than that. Also make sure you use a shampoo that is made for dog skin because human shampoo can dry out your dog's skin. I only bath my dog once a month but if she goes swimming in the swimming pool I give her a 'rinse off' shower without using actual soap. I just try to rinse off the chlorine.

bathe your puppy when it gets stinky. Don't bathe every day as this could lead to dry, irritated skin! Always use a shampoo made FOR PUPPIES as they have very delicate, sensitive skin. Remember that you should try to get your puppy used to baths and grooming while it is still an impressionable puppy. Try to brush it a few times a week, and also "practice" with it's paws. After brushing, hold each paw for a minute, adding a little time, each time. This way when he is bigger and his nails are longer, you can trim them yourself with ease.

Hi happyever! According to my friend puppies should be bath only 2 times a week, this can help them to have a long time life span. She knows that because she have so many pet dogs. she likes dog so much and always present wherever their is a dog show..

It depends on the weather and the length of your dog's hair. If your dog has short hair and it's a hot day. I think have a bath for him everyday will be nice. Dongs like it.
