Miss Universe 2007 -Have you watched the show?

Japan's contestant Riyo Mori won the crown of Miss Universe this year. She is the 56th Miss Universe. She is from a Village near Mount Fuji and a ballet dancer from the begining. But this year contest is marked by protest, banned dress and withdrawal of one beauty queen. Finally Miss Universe was given her $250,000 Diamond and perl crown by last year winner. Congratulation Rio Mori!

I haven't seen it but my mom watched it later this morning. She told me that Miss Japan won the contest. Our candidate didn't make it on the top 5. She said that Miss Philippines had one award. But she wasn't sure what was it. Well congratulations to Miss Japan and to the Japanese people.

I got this picture of Miss Philippines from the official site of Miss Universe. My brother watched the primetime telecast later this evening in a local channel. But before that all of the local news where telling how Miss USA was booed on the stage. She also slipped. That must be very embarassing to her. At least she is still poised.

i only caught the last 40 minutes or so. and felt so bad for Miss USA when she fell! oh how embarrasing that must have been!
i thought for sure Venezuala was going to win..but Miss Japan is very very lovely!
and when they were asking USA her question...was the audience booing?? it kind of sounded like it but i wasnt sure.
and what was the protesting for?? and why did one girl withdraw?
