Does wristwatch has any use or it is just ornamental

now almost every device can tell you the time including mobile phone and your mp3 player. why do we still wear a wrist watch ?

Nowadays, it is more ornamental. Earlier, I could not do without it, specially when commuting. Now, I only wear fancy ones when I go out in the evenings. That too I forget half the time.

Personally I have never wore a wrist watch, excluding few random times. I believe it is a status icon like a car or house, if you have an expensive watch. Mobile phone serves the watch's purpose for me, so I probably won't ever need one.
