What should be first prefrance if you want to grow Government job/private job ?

i think both goverment jod as well as private jobs has some advantages and some disadvantages. what would be your first preferance ? I feel from my experience in my state that no doubt goverment job is secure bout it can only help to feed hand to mouth. recently one of my friend was teeling m ethat now a days it has become hard for the goverment to survive in big expensive cities unless goverment is not providing them infrastructure for residings rents for houses are touching the sky.

It would have to be the private sector for me. Though government jobs are good, in a country like India youd have to put in a certain number of years till you grow to a high post. In the private sector, age will have nothing to do with your rank - just your ability and talent will matter.

I would prefer a government job, the federal government that is, it would be better money and more stability, although you risk the chance of having to move to a different location.
