i am really cvoncerned about the way news reporters sre giving news.on one side they are meant to show the hidden back drop of our world.but what they dop today is over publizising meagre matters and taking a U-turn from the truth.they are avoiding the 'have nots' and under previlaged ones and magnifying the luxury of millionairs .

i cannot completely agree with ur views.. Yeah medias cover the extravaganzas of celebrites which is absurd.. But they also cover importnt topics.. They all do it for the page 3.. In all other pages they will b dealing with relevant topics ..But i see some media hyping the rumours and covering the truth.. but sometimes there is a huge but...

The news are usually manipulative in dependence of the media who pays to the reporters. And yes, sometimes the information is not corect or even wrong. The way they arrange the news, the selective way they decide what to show and what to miss is also a way to manipulate the audience. But this is the low of the journalistic: sometimes the commerce and the politic in the news is prevalent then the honest info.

I think in this competitive age, news reporters bring important new events from national scene to international scene straight into our drawing rooms and issues concerning people's lives are also touched. But small minority of news reporters are looking to sensationalise new stories to increase their TRP ratings. Like when India was knocked out of world cup? it was debated as to who is to blame and hue and cry was made about it and cricketers on their return were portrayed as some sort of criminals who had brought national shame, putting ideas in people's heads. I feel that is wrong.
Then be it new years eve's malaika sherawat item dance and whether she was scantily dressed at famous hotel was talk of town when large issues are left out of media preview. I feel in this age of 24 hours news channels media somehow looks to create stories rather than focusing more on real issues facing the country. I feel media should self regulate and develop consensus that they would not succumb to political or business interests and give serious news the weightage it deserves.
