I love sushi even though I do not eat raw fish either. There are many different kinds of sushi. Those without any raw seafood taste yummy ,such as the California Maki.

Somehow I can't get myself to eat raw sushi. They look slimy to me. I like Japanese cooked food though like tempura, yakitori and tonkatsu.

I love teriyaki and japanese udon too. I sometimes buy japanese teriyaki sauce and use it to marinate my chicken or pork before cooking.

Hi there, I love sushi if your talking about the rice wrapped in seaweed sheets with teriaki chicken and veges in it, or rice wrapped in seaweed sheets with marinated pork pieces and veges or tuna, veges and rice wrapped in seaweed. I dont like to eat raw fish, I cant stand that chewy chunky thing if you know what I mean... And yet I know alot of people who eat raw fish all the time...

I know exactly how you feel. I want to try sushi but am afraid of eating the raw fish. I know there is some that is cooked, the california roll is one example, it has cooked crabmeat with avocado and cucumber. There are also cucumber rolls and other vegetable rolls, plus some with cooked seafood.

I just can't seem to acquire a taste for sushi. I don't know if half of the problem is mental or not, as just knowing that the fish isn't cooked bothers me. Another thing, I am getting more afraid by the day to eat fish due to the worry about the quality of water in which the fish was grown! For those fish in the ocean, there is such a worry about mercury.

Normally Sushi is cooked or smoked fish ect with rice. Shashimi is raw fish. Try to go to a buffet and try a few different pieces, yo wil know what you like.

I love sushi! I don't know if I would eat it everyday, since there is that saying "too much of a good thing" I would probably get board with it after eating it days and days on end. But I could certainly eat it once or twice a week and be very happy. We usually only get it once every month or so at the restaurant, and I sometimes get it at the store to bring home, but the stuff form the store is not as good as the restaurant sushi (but it is cheaper).

I love sushi! I used to be a bit scared of it until one day my SIL and my boyfriend took me to a Japanese restaurant and I tried some. Now I can't get enough of it, especially sashimi. In a way I don't mind that it's raw as I've eaten smoked fish all my life (salmon, herring etc) so I'm used to the texture. I especially like raw tuna. Some sushi is vegetarian, like the various makis with cucumber and pickled radish.

I like Sushi, i find it's mainly made of rice and seaweed with not much raw fish in it! Mind you, i eat the stuff we get in the UK which probably isn't at all like the proper stuff you get in Japan etc. I don't know why people are so worried abut eating raw fish, when you think about it it's common to eat things like raw prawns and salmon and people don't blink an eye, yet when it's raw white fish people go all squeemish! I wouldn't eat it every day, mainly beucase it's expensive, you have to buy it fresh, and i'd get bored eating anything every day. I do like it as a treat every now and then though.
