PREDICT How Many More Seasons Before "American IDOL" Becomes a "Has-Been"?

I do not think American Idol will be a has been unless some other show comes out that blows it out of the water. If Sanjaya had won this season that could have spelled the end of this show since he was horrible and got further than some better singers. I think it will be hot for many more years to come or until they decide to stop doing it. Another way it could end is if people stopped trying out to sing or they can not find any good singers.

I would say Season 10 would be a good stopping point as far as quality. I have a feeling that as long as it is getting decent ratings and producing marketable artists, it may continue past that even if it isn't getting the hype that it has over the first six seasons.

well 3 seasons perhaps? I'm getting bored with that just over season (season 6), but well if America still love that show, it'll last for a long time i guess..since it's always been on the top rated tv programme
