The concept of aliens

Why is the concept of aliens so hard to believe?
If you think how large the earth is compared to the universe and believe we are the only things that are living then please explain.
On the B side, Why do you think that other life does exist elsewhere?
Is there any things that can support your ideas besides social programming or general ranting?

I agree with the idea that it is HIGHLY improbable that we are the only living things in known universe. If they have visited earth, I imagine they would be just a bit more clever than we'd expect. I would like to see people's REASONS for not believing that there aren't any.

Yeah, I think it's possible. But bear with me as my Christian upbringing gives me different angle. Think about how the average person describes angels and/or demons. These are spirits who exist on a different plane of existence than we do. But depending on the circumstances, they are sometimes able to be seen. I think that would qualify them as alien to us humans.
Also, in the Bible there is this verse, Ephesians 6, verse 12:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers
against the rulers of the darkness of this world
against spiritual wickedness in high places
Anyway just wanted to add some juice to the topic.

I like the response, You bring an interesting point up. I have also heard some others say things along those lines. If this is the case we once fought along side said angels against demons then would not the god of the bible be similar to an alien mother or father. Lol, even more Jesus would have simply been a visitor. Sorry I am in a strange mood. I gave chosen the path the of the ancients but I have Freemason a tendency.
