I wanna learn Tagalog!!

hi!!! it feels good to know you are interested to know tagalog...i hope i could teach you some too...but i dont know where to start...in tagalog it says (ang sarap malaman na gusto mong matuto nang tagalog...sana maturuan din kita..kaya lang hindi ko alam kong saan ako magsisimula)... hehe..i think thats the better way to start...

hi! it's nice to know you're interested in learning tagalog:) sana'y wala nang wakas literally means Hope it will not end. this is a lover's wish that their relationship will not end and will continue through thick and thin. it is such a very meaningful phrase. as for tagalog slang words, i can think of one word to share with you now. and that is the word LOLA. using it the right way, this word means grandmother. but in filipino lingo this is a word you can call your girl friends.

am glad you are interested in learning tagalog! my first suggestion is to have an online friend whom you can chat everyday. he/she must be fluent in tagalog so it would be easy for you... a dictionary might help also.. caution: its really hard to translate english-tagalog or vice versa word by word, so just be patient ;) good luck.. we are here to help!

And you can can send me some more tagalog words you want to know here in mylot messages. About "Sana'y Wala ng Wakas" means hope that there will be no end. Sana-hope, wala-no, wakas-end. Another word is "Ika'y" so you don't need to put the word "ay" but it would still depends on the sentence that you make. malaysian and tagalog language are similar since both countries are neighbors... some of our dialects, especially on the northern part of Luzon, are of mixed ethnics... "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" means "I Wish It was forever" or i don't want this to end, and other similar connotations... for you to understand some of our language, here's ur guide: i'm hungry= gutom na ako i'm beautiful= ang ganda ko i love you= mahal kita you make me smile= pinapasaya mo ako anyway, just send me a message and i will be very much happy to help you and translate your words into tagalog... :)

But since you asked, my most effective tip for you on how to learn Tagalog the fastest and the most rewarding is to simply: "MARRY A FILIPINO, AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER." :)

this is great to know that one wants to learn tagalog. in my university here in costa rica, tagalog is not the preferred foreign language people want to learn. probably they don't see much importance in the language since people know that if one knows english, one can practically go by in manila or any other place in the philippines. i am really proud of our drama series. people from african countries like cameroon love our dram series. they know and love angelo very much. but they never expressed any desire to learn the language. i am happy that you did. ingat ka lagi. at ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral ng tagalog.

Id really like to help. there re certain things that you have to consider though. In the arrangement of words, english have a very tricky arrangement when you translate it in tagalog it will be sometimes rearrange. anyways ... Sana'y wala ng wakas means Hope there is no end. It is a conversation sentence which can deliver the meaning of I hope there in no end...(to whatever the person further meant). But a dictionary, and tell me of what you want to learn further, perhaps I could help...
