Didn't you ever use a Pencil?!?

Well this is the comment I received from my nephew as I held his pencil to help him with his math homework. I knew what prompted him to pass this comment as I was holding the pencil, I felt really weird as if I had never held a pencil before! I mean I have used pen and pencil throughout my life but then as I started working, typing took place instead of the usual writing. Although I did use pen and pencils to sign documents and such but that was fine but as soon as I started on my nephews's assignment I was very surprised as to how uncomfortable it felt! I think it is due to typing so much that the pencil felt kind of weird, anyways that got me thinking that have you ever experienced the same? And in this high tech age do you think that typing will eventually take place of the classic writing?
