this is a film about a young teacher who dared defy the rules of their town and teach his high school kids the theory of charles darwin. this enraged the "God fearing" conservative town and had the teacher thrown in prison. what follows is how two great lawyers defend both sides and how the right to think was upheld in the end.
this is an old movie and i won't be quite surprised if just a handful of mylotters has seen it.

I didn't see this "Inherit the wind" movie. This is a remake of an earlier movie by the same title. I have seen that. It stars Spencer Tracy. He is my favorite actor. The plot line is the same as with the title. It was nominated for several oscars. It was made in the 1960's.Regards

I've seen Inherit the Wind. I love old movies, and two of my favorite actors played in it -Gene Kelly and Fredric March. I thought it was a very good movie. Spencer Tracy was good, too. But, I think Gene Kelly was the best.
