Drinking to get drunk

Recently we had this documentary stating that more than 70% of people injured under the inlfuence has worse injuries. they didn't however state if they have worse injuries because they were drunk, or if they're just did worse things while being drunk to receive these injuries. personaly being a student and all I don't really get hurt when i party, I might get really hurt if i was sober, because then I would maybe feel it and make more of a fuss.. or maybe just because drunk people can't drive.. so no hospital for them. what do you think?
