Forgotten Birthdays.

Ehhh, it's that time of year again. I hate birthdays now, because nobody remembers. Not even my dad. I don't tell people when my birthday is anymore, because I don't want to take the chance of getting hurt. And if I tell them ON my birthday, then I feel like it's a forced "happy birthday" and they don't really mean it. I cried all day on my birthday last year. It was the worst birthday ever. So, I've learned not to expect anything. You'd think I'd have learned a long, long time ago, but I didn't. I guess I hoped that it'd be different. Never was.
Have you ever been forgotten on your birthday? If so, how did you handle it?

I remember my family, sibling birthday and celebrate their birthday. Let me think, the last birthday that was celebrated and remembered is my 21st birthday. Majority of them will remember my birthday after it had past. So, after my 21st birthday, I yet to celebrate or have a cake or gift. Initially for the first few birthday, I am pretty sad. Now, no more as birthday is only the day that we are born. Thus, probably I am use to it. So, just take it easy.
