I believe in God, but He is not the super Natural COntrolling God thatyou are reffering to. The God that I believe in is a merciful and loving God. A God that has lovingly guided me through the ups and downs of life.It doesn't make you weak or escapist, it makes you stronger and more in touch with your faith. And to answer your last question, FAITH doesn't have anything to do with your future being better and brighter, God doesn't bribe anyone, that if you worship Him you have better chances of getting rich and powerful. You are responsible for your own actions and future .God doesn't control the world , He has given us will power to make our own decisions.
