I can't seem to get passed this writer's block I have been having lately. It seems every time I sit down to write a song I come up with the same chord progressions and changes. This never used to be a problem. My lyrics aren't as creative anymore either. What do you do when you have this problem? It's been going on for months.

maybe you are being too hard on yourself...every writer needs to take a break from writing once in a while (even a short break)...i find if i can't find the right word or whatever, i turn my attention to something else or take a break...
i have published about 50 articles and have written an ebook on women over 40 and right now, i am busy with a job (i work p/t out of the house) and am writing here for mylot and writing a blog on writing once a week for a pal and thats all the writing i am doing right now...i am taking a break for the summer :-)
good luck!! :-)
