What's the most comfortable footwear for you? I love Havaianas. They're worth every penny for quality and comfort.

I think Havaianas are so over-rated. Everybody wants them and people made them a status symbol here in the Philippines. I've been told by my professor that Havaianas in Brazil costs around $1.50.. Big rip-off if you buy it here. More importantly, there are cheaper slippers around like Banana Peel which costs around Php 99 a pair.

I believe it's because of the same reason why people go to Starbucks. They want to try to look affluent if they aren't; and if they are, they want everyone to know. Many Filipinos today seem to place a premium on "high fashion" when the country itself isn't even anywhere near "developed" status.

I wish people would start realizing that overly high prices and famous brand name does not always equal quality. (I'm looking at you too, Juicy Couture) And I wish people would stop being such posers. Starbucks doesn't even taste good. I've had instant coffee that tasted much better than Starbucks' poop.

I know! It's really annoying to see people like them. They tend to flock towards foreign brands that can make them seem classy and/or rich. What a bunch of posers =_=

I can get equally, if not more, comfortable slippers in Divisoria for Php150 or less. Havaianas is a major ripoff.

Aren't they? They're so over-priced but you see A LOT of people buying them just so that they can say that they own a pair of Havaianas.

If you buy a load of havaianas then its splurging. If you buy only one pair, then have it last for 2 years, then for me it's worth it. I've had mine for 2 years and it still looks new and I use it everyday. Don't get me wrong, I'm a bargain shopper and I have tried so many flip flops one for even Php25 only to have them either worn out after a few uses. Some even gave me irritations because of the rubber. I'm very fond of wearing flip flops because it's comfortable and easy maintenance. That's why I chose to buy something that will last me a long time as I will just end up buying 5 other different ones at Php100 anyway since these types do not last long.

i think a good pair of sneakers is really good. a pair of nike, with the right shoe size, that's it. and it's much comfortable than a pair of flipflops. *no offense*.. i think havaianas are totally overpriced. you can buy 10+ pairs of flipflops with the price of a pair of havaianas. I have one havaianas, and that's it. I'm not buying another one. =D Have a great day.

I know that they are the ugliest shoes ever, but I live in my Crocs. Nothing makes my feet feel better. And now they have some less garrish options, like cute ballet flats and flipflops!
