For those of you that love the SECRET, you have to read a book called "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles. It was written in 1910 and Mr. Wattles died shortly after he wrote this book. "The Science of Getting Rich" was the catalyst for "The Secret".
I will ask for permission from the person who sent the book to me if I can put a link on here so that you can download the book. Stay tuned!

I have read "The Secret" and am about to read "The Science of Getting Rich". I thought "The Secret" was a great book and I am interested in reading the book that inspired it. Also I find it amazing how books that were written so long ago still hold true. It's proof that we CAN learn from the past!

For some reason, the people from the past that knew the secret kept it a secret! Now for the first time, it's out there for anybody that wants it. Unfortunately many won't even check it out but that's life! I am so grateful that I found out about this secret! It's changed my life so much! Best of luck to you guys!

Hi,
I have to agree with you, I found the Secret a bit hard going as well. Not so much what they wrote but actually getting to grips with the power of one's thoughts. But you know, I have just recently gone through a very depressive period, and I took my frustrations out on someone I love most in the world (as you do), and I guess my gloominess became quite noticeable.
Anyway my daughter gave me the secret to read. When you read all about positive affirmations for the first time, it is pretty hard to start believing that your mind can actually change your attitude. But it did that to me. I started thinking good thoughts and affirming like, "only good comes into my life" and "the universe will guide me to the right path" and unbelievably my attitude changed. This was noticed by my work collegues.
I am slowly becoming aware of lots of things in my life, but more importantly I am became aware of what a cow I was, its really gutting when you find out you're not the perfect picture of paradise. But, like everything I suppose if you're not used to being positive all the time, and thinking only good things, it does require lots of work, once you get past that step though, then you really can believe.
I have faith with help from The Secret the best years of my life are yet to be lived. Start with little things like, I am healthy, thank you for my health, I am harmonious, thank you for my harmony. When you feel negative, ask yourself what you are feeling, frustration, anger impatience and then just say I am strong, thank you for my strength.
I hope this doesn't sound like a lecture. But I know how hard it is sometimes, I have started to slow down a bit where as I used to be rather impulsive. When I was in my depths of despair I would cry easily, then I would find an affirmation to pull me out of it, you know it worked. Little steps lead to bigger steps.
Here's my best one which might help "I release all my doubts and fears"
You take care and hang in there.
