Paysites, paysites. Are they ruining myLot?

Has myLot always been this way? I feel like the great majority of discussions are about paysites and people posting their links and how to get referrals and yet more paysites...it makes it so difficult to find a topic of interest. Almost every time I go into "Things I Want to do with My Life" it's just a bunch of discussions with one liners about a paysite.
I haven't been around myLot very long (about a month or so) but it possibly couldn't have always been like this? MyLot admins should create another section for those or purge them or delete them.. there's so many, they push all interesting discussions down. I almost wish they weren't allowed here. Or maybe that's just my annoyance speaking.. heh!

Hi. Just want to comment. If mylot will not give people the chance to discuss about the sites that pays, I think, half of the mylot users will not be interested anymore. You see, there are different types of people, those who loves to write anything under the sun and those who wants to earn online or those who got the same personalities. I hope you're not mad at me and I don't mean to offend anyone. Thank you.

Paysites on myLot don't annoy me as much as it used to (this discussions is quite old!) and I definitely understand that a lot of us here are into making money online, so it's no biggie. I'm here more for the discussion, I'm definitely one of those who likes to reply to to every topic under the sun. LOL.
Thanks for the reply! =)

It's probably because a lot of people here are interested to know other opportunities online like mylot that really pays. Others also would like to share the opportunities they've been in where they also actually make money. I guess it's just a matter of putting in the right subject so people will know what the discussion is about. If you're not interested in those other money making opportunities then don't open those discussions.

I report any that I see that are referral links.I don't go looking for them, but only when I see them. They are a violation of the guidelines. It is worse now than it use to be.
I mostly stick to my friends discussions so I can be more assured of their better content. I do not see them often and are usually in the list at the bottom when I see them. I don't think that all people not on my list are starting bad topics, just that don't usually see bad stuff from my friends

It would be good if you could select something to hide them along the lines of the mature contect box.
I am not completely against cos I think there are some things that people are interested in hearing about and obviously not all links lead us to pay sites.
I must confess that I actually report alot of them to admin so that they will disappear. Especially the ones were I think the person is just trying to get referrers for their own benefit. I was recently posting about one or two but these were ones that got the poeple signing up money and not me.

Actually, there are TWO sections that are dedicated to making money or money-making schemes, whatever they may be. You should also report any discussions that start off my offering their referral links without anybody asking for them - they're against mylot guidelines. They'll get deleted.
Thinking about it, though, it seems to me that most people joined mylot to make money (though they likely did think they'd make a bunch of cash instead of a bunch of pennies). Regardless, as the initial intention was to make money, I don't blame people for trying different ways of using mylot to make more money. It just makes sense, I think, if you consider the initial perspective ....

I don't think I've ever reported anyone's discussion.. I guess someone else might not mind it, you know? So I don't know if I'd want to ruin it for them, but I suppose report is something to consider. It just rubs the wrong way how some use myLot for their own personal gain. I know there are sections here to discuss making more money, but I meant there should be one for just links and such, since I have no problem with discussing good paysites. I guess the intent is what it comes down to for me. Thanks for the response!
