Giuliani: "... had any idea [the towers] would IMPLODE."

I read an article today, and then I watched the video below. It is called trusting my own eyes and ears. Something's rotten. Here's an excerpt from the article I read today: "The Republican nominee for president was outside City Island's Sea Shore restaurant in the Bronx, speaking with WNBC.com's Adam Shapiro about his fundraising in New York." "Afterward, a young woman claiming to be the relative of a Sept. 11, 2001, firefighter who died when the towers collapsed, asked Giuliani why he allegedly told Peter Jennings the towers would not fall that day, but did not stop the rescue efforts of firefighters and police officers." "The woman claims Giuliani knew the towers would fall, and allowed rescuers to go to their deaths. She asked him, "How do you sleep at night?" "Giuliani was extremely polite, telling the young woman she was wrong and that he never said what she claimed. At that point, another protester from her group, a young man, interrupted Giuliani with the same allegations." "Giuliani replied by saying, "I didn't realize the towers would collapse." He later added, "No one that I know of had any idea they would IMPLODE. That was a complete surprise." I gotta ask why the man would say "implode." That implies demolition, not fire, in my humble opinion. Feel free to draw your own conclusions. The link to the video is below. I saw it. He said it. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n7uJnKGTGg Full article: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2007/290507giulianiconfronted.htm ...keep up with what the mainstream media isn't telling you.

I watched the video. I hate to say this, but it looks very doctored to me. I can't believe a politician/news reporter would stand there for almost 5 minutes holding hands while they chatted over improtant issues. I tried to watch him lips to see what he said, as the sound does not match up with video, and I couldn't see it. then again, that's another thing that gets me. The sound does not match up with the video. Sound goes normally, the video is choppy. That tells me there has been some major editing. Now, I'm not saying he hasn't said any of this. I just don't believe that video.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm not an editor of video, and having never "chopped" one, I didn't know to look for that. It looked like a regular video to me, like a home video, where the cameraman isn't doing it as a job, ya know. I'll watch it more carefully this time around. I've already watched it 3 times. It's just that there's so much lying going on it's hard to sort it all out within the separate issues.

Wow. Harsh. Thanks for that scolding, but I choose to think with my head, not popular opinion. I think people that deny others the truth as well as their freedom of thought and expression should be tried for treason. I hate what your saying, but I'll fight with my last breath for your right to say it.

Let's say for a minute that the video is true. What Guiliani is saying is that they didn't know the towers would collapse right away, that it would take several hours. And the word implode is used to describe the way it fell. It basically collapsed in on itself, as opposed to falling over. But anyways, the woman/man is blaming him for sending in rescue workers when he knew the towers were unsafe. But even if he thought it would take hours for the towers to fall, wouldn't you do your best to get those out that are trapped? What should he have done, say sorry to those of you up there on the 100th floor, but your just gonna have to wait it out. My brother is a fire fighter. And even if the building was looking like the Tower of Pisa AND on fire, he would still go in. Because that's his job. And he has chosen to put his life ahead of others. I think these people who made the video should be tried for treason. Is Guiliani perfect? By no means would I say that. But he did what he could when he was faced with a very difficult sitution. leave the man alone. And those who perished rest in peace.

Well I have tried to keep an open mind on both sides of this subject. The only real thing that bothers me about the whole ordeal, which there are alot of little things that need answering, but the biggest to me is... How did they find molten steel from the support beams I cant talk about what I dont know but I do know about demolitions from the service, I also worked in a steel plant after getting out and than eventually went on to structural design. I have never seen an explanation for what cause it to become molten. Twisted, scale, ruptured I can believe but in my opinion I cant see how it became molten steel. The only logical explanation that comes to mind for me is that it was a typo in the 9/11 report and that it wasnt molten. Or that they mistakenly judged something else to be support beams. If it wasnt that I have to say something is rotten in denmark. But ultimately even if it was rigged what would get done about it? I doubt anyone would start a civil war over it, the best thing we can do is take our opinions to the election pole. But good luck with getting the majority of the people to vote. Sorry if that sounds negative but most people would rather not know even if it was the truth.

No, I'm open to the truth and intelligent argument. Some of the things I've seen and heard make me tend to believe that a whole lot of birds got killed with that one stone. Marvin B ush, the rarely if ever heard of youngest brother of GW, was head of security at WTC until Sept. 10, 2001. The former federal agent that took his place was killed on Sept. 11th in the collapse. Enron and other scandalous stock market evidence was lost in building 7. United Airlines was up an unusual percentage a week before the towers came down, among others. I don't know much about the stock market, but I do find it odd that so many people made millions off the dropping of airline stock right after 9/11. A demolition expert from overseas watched building 7 fall, not knowing what building he was looking at, and then appeared to be totally shocked when he was told it was 7 after he said he would work with a crew that did that good of work. Said they couldn't have "walked" it more perfectly. Professor Jones (search that in youtube) discovered thermite on the beams. Thermite doesn't come in any kind of metal, it is used for the sole purpose of demolition...could have been thermate, both were mentioned. Something's rotten all right...right here in the land of the as free as they say we are. Here's some Lou Dobbs for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_snyVEFYbjM&mode=related&search= You may want to look at the rest of the videos listed there, they are quite enlightening. ...oh and about the pentagon, I find it hard to believe that with all the surveillance there that our government could only produce a few little, sketchy shots of the supposed 757...but when you see that 757 almost hit the grass in the little sketchy tapes they did release, it passes by an automobile...and is smaller than the car.

In the first response of the following discussion, there are two links showing the live reporting going on at ground zero. I'm sure all the witnesses just made it all up for the conspiracy buffs to enjoy, and all the explosions/sounds were planted, etc...btw, that sarcasm isn't directed at you. It's directed at the logic/physics defying lies we are being fed. Sometimes I get worked up about this situation. If there's nothing I can't stand is being treated like an idiot. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1078563.aspx

Hey whats up? I have a video of Giuliani saying to peter jennings that the towers were going to come down 15 min. before they came down. Why didn't he get those people out if he knew that much ahead of time.

The only thing about Guilani is his claim tofame was being Mayor of New York City at the right time. He's done a lot of not-so-good things in New York City, such as charge vendor licenses for street vendors, & then not allowing these street vendors work where they were needed. It meant having to actually go into a store to buy food & get ripped off instead of paying a lower from a street vendor that usually makes better hot dogs & fresher pretzels. Not only did it cost more for us buyers. It also hurt the livelyhood of a lot of these New York street vendors.

Did you see the debate earlier tonight on CNN? Might as well been the Rudy McRomney show... ...anyway, it's obvious from Guiliani's views about using the RFID on "immigrants" and his misuse or mayoral power, not to mention the innuendo surrounding his father and brothers alleged mob ties and prison time served, that we do not need him screwing up the country any more than it already is.

Silly nonsense. The Republicans did not mastermind 9/11. Absolutely silly. djbtol

No one was suggesting that the Republicans did anything. I simply found "implode" to be a very odd choice of words. Thank you for responding.

The Republicans maybe didn't mastermind 9/11, but SOME of them sure were in on it. I don't know if this is true or not, but I've read in more than just a couple places that there also weren't any people of Israeli descent killed that day because they'd gotten phone calls & emails saying stay away. Did you know that the security firm for the towers was owned operated by an Israeli company & the weekend before the towers came down ALL the explosive sniffing dogs were dismissed? Otherwise security guards & dogs were present 24 hrs a day because of the 1993 bombing. Did you also know that Guliani's "safe bunker" in case of attack was in Building 7? If that's his safe place, why did they all evacuate? Because he knew hours ahead of time that the building was going to start having internal explosives bring it down, HOURS after the initial impacts on the main towers.

The conspiracy surrounds the towers as it was done to order by supposedly higher government factions. I think that implode implies what it means and maybe nothing more, but it is an unusual word to come out with when you tag it onto the better choice of words like collapsed, destroyed, crumbled!

Or maybe, you use the term implode beause the buildings did not explode. Opposite meanings and explode does not fit.

Explode means that the debris moves away from the force that caused it, implode means when the debris comes back in on itself. I had just never heard "implode" used out of context with demolition.

I don't know 100% what to make out of this. I hate this. I usually have a strong opinion about everything. I watched the video, and I must be honest it did look like they were trying to trap Giuliani, but they did ask a valid question why did Giuliani say what he said? Now Giuliani response seems honest enough but it is interesting that he used the word implode. I do understand what Giuliani said that the towers would eventually collapse like all buildings do. I think Giuliani handled himself half decently since he was being put on the spot. I don't know if Giuliani actually knew that the towers were going to collapse. I hope that Giuliani didn't know that they were going to fall like they did.

Who are you? His daughter and personal representative? Even if the video is a fake, and it might be, I'm not an expert and don't now, but in either case, there are plenty of other reasons to not vote for the guy, but this thread isn't about that. It's about the video and the odd choice of words used.

Since I believe the video to be a fake, I can't honestly answer if he handled himself properly during that interview. But I believe he handled himself properly during the crisis. It's easy for us to sit here nearly six years later and critisize. But not one of us were in his shoes. Not one of us knew what he was going through or what he knew. Who are we to judge him?

The towers collapsed on themselves, ie, imploded.... Stretching a little thin here.... actually, very thin.
