Sanjaya and the Crying Girl

Haha I think she was actually crying. I don't think anybody paid her to do it, but I'm guessing that she just had a really huge crush on him or something. It seemed like a lot of little girls really liked him. She did become quite famous for that though! haha

The poor little dear is having her first crush! I can still remember at age 11 how it hurt so much having a crush on Davy Jones of the Monkees! When ever I saw him I would squeel, cry and just plain want to faint, my heart would even hurt! Chrushes are awful! Years from now she'll look back on that day and feel so embarressed, I know I did: Davy Jones pictures, books, posters, toys, music etc. etc., Davy Jones, Davy Jones, Davy Jones!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!!!! (I STILL think he's cute as can be, even with gray in his hair)!

Believe it or not, that little girl was probably being very sincere. Sanjaya did remain in the game for longer than most of us can believe, so he must have had quite the group of fans (all little girls I would guess).

That little girl was crying for many of the performances. I think she was just thrilled to be there and got the short end of the stick getting to hug Sanjaya.

I thought she was nuts. I mean I am a huge fan of a particular artist but I would never cry like that. I think that was all just part of the American Idol show. They probably did pay her to act like that.

yeah! i saw that girl in the finale! what are my thoughts??? hmmmm...the girl is just scaredof sanjaya!!! and i believe that lil girl is cheering for Blake.^_^ that is her true crush.^_^

That girl needs to grow up. I mean hell she was crying over every damn performer! Get ahold of yourself, jeez. Oh and good luck to the Red Sox, doing really good this year.

I don't think that she was acting, but it certainly was strange. I can see screaming and jumping up and down, but crying like that seems like an odd reaction to liking a performer. It's hard to say since she is a younger girl and can't really be held to the same "normal" reactions that even a teenage girl would have in that situation. That being said, thank goodness Sanjaya didn't win. IMO, he show got much better after he left.

It looked really "put on" and fake to me. She might have been crying real tears but for the life of me I do not understand why. And she was crying when the other Idols sang too, so I don't know if we can truly attribute her tears to Sanjaya, specifically. Weird. :-(

No, I believe that she really did cry over him and I think it was just because she liked him so much and actually seen him in person. Fans are like that. In his own way, Sanjaya made a huge impact on the show and he is an Idol to some people. My kids liked him and I think that he was okay and was better than people gave him credit for.

I thought maybe someone paid her to do it, but I'm not sure. She was at the finale and he went down into the audience to her, which I couldn't tell if she was crying or terrified. LOL. She sort of just reared up and her face was blood red. I would like ot know the truth behind it though. I didn't think anyone could be that excited. It's like back in the days when people passed out at the mere presence of Michael Jackson. Strange how history repeats itself.

What I do know is that she was also sobbing during Melinda's performance.

I think this girl was not being paid but have low emotional quotient. When i watched the 1st event that she cried, i really don't know if she is crying for Sanjaya or she is crying for the whole American Idol. But during the American Idol finals, i think she is being paid because that is a re-enactment of the 1st instance. i dont think she will cry again for the 2nd time with the same song...hehehe...or maybe she is crying becuase of the song and not of Sanjaya???

LOL...I don't even really watch American Idol that much and I even knew about the crying girl. She overreacted a bit I do believe. I didn't care for Sanjaya anyway myself.

I honestly just didn't like Sanjaya. I don't know why a girl would cry like that over a singer like him.
