why do you think that fast food attracts kids so much?

I think humans in general, and kids in particular, have 'built-in' a liking for things that are sweet, salty, or fatty, or all of the above. Probably goes back to cave man days--the body needs salt, glucose, and a certain amount of fatty foods to survive. Fast foods have a lot of all three of these.

In my opinion,fast food is convenient to most people ,it does not need much times to wait your food when you have talked waiter what you want to eat.But fast food does not suit kids, because kids is younger ,they need more nutrition that fast food can't provide.

fast food is geared towards children and parents that either don't care or don't have time to cook.It's fat ,greasy and addictive and movue tie-ins come a di me a dozen.This food is incredibly damaging in ways people don't even realize.

Of course they are geared toward kids. The the kids will pester mommy and daddy and then the kids will eventually end up at Macdonalds. They like to get the kids hooked on that garbage food because then then are hooked for the next 30 or 40 years. Think about it. That is why smoking is geared toward the younger generations. I know there are not any smoking commercials, but the idea of smoking being cool to yourger kids means that the cig companies can get a person hooked for life. Companies know that the key is to get younger kids and teens hooked on their products early in life, then habits become hard to break. That goes for most junk foods and a lot of other products.

Well let's see why I use to liked fast food. I was simple, fast and on the go. Crisy fries, milkshakes from McDonalds was fabulous. Wendy's burgers are fantstically juicy.. I think anyone would agree that this is why fast food with kids can be a cool thing for them. They're certainly not complaining when they get that happy meal either!

A lot of those fast food places offer toys with a theme in kids meals so that will automatically attract the kids because the honest truth if we take the kids to a fast food place half the time they dont even eat half of their meal because they are to busy playing with the toy that came with the meal, lol.

there is an imfamous burger bar (American of course) who were way back in the 70s taken to task over an ensyme in their food. This burger bar did not sue. OK they sued a woman in Scotlasnd who was selling beef sandwiches under her own name, Rona McDonald, but not when someone suggested they were deliberately addicting kids, makes me wonder mmmm

Myself I dont like fast food joints. Your right they are full of grease and are so bad for us. I think the commercials pull people in the most. Especially the kids if they see it on tv they just have to have it.

In the past, McDonald's commercials were aimed to adults but then, McDonald thought that kids could be their biggest target market because parents use not to resist their kids' requests. That's why many marketing programs are targeted to kids and they are very good in doing that. Kids don't want to wait for long. Thus, fast food attracts kids so much. Besides, kids love foods that are sweet, salty, crispy with various flavors.

I think one of the things that attracted kids to this fast food burgers is the way they marketed their products. You can see all the friendly mascots. How they presented their products. Like their burger is filled with overflowing stuff. Another factor is the promo they have that comes with purchasing a happy meal. I felt like throwing up whenever I thought of those burgers. But my girls will never tired of it. They are always so hyped up when I brought them to Mc Donald.

It's the toys that attract my kids. They get so excited to get a toy from there, even though many of them they dont even end up liking. And it's the commercials that show the toys that get my kids. Right now spiderman toys are at burger king and they really want them, and Shrek toys at mcdonalds. Two of my kids favorites. The kids are not in charge at my house though, lol just cause they want it doesn't mean we are going to go get some~!

Small children fast food very much they don't like rice and chapati they don't want west the time to eat khana everyday,they want diffrent things to eat,which is nice to see.

I think it is because it is finger food. They can eat it with their hands, they can be messy. They don`t need good manners, and nobody reprimands them. And afterwards they even get ice cream. And then there is all the other kids who go there, too. Peer pressure. And they even get a toy in the bag. To kids this is very attractive.
