Any military families in Hawaii?

Hi there! My husband is Navy and he's going to be able to pick his orders soon and he wants to choose Hawaii. I am just curious what it is like to live there? Aside from the things like the beach and the weather. Things like how different the cost of living is, what housing is like, or if there is anything that is horrible or absolutely great to live there. It seems like a great place to live, but I would really like to hear opinions of people who have actually lived there. Thanks!
