Rivermaya: Disbanded

No wonder... i think he will succeed just like bamboo. But, eventhough i really admire their band, it's such that i regret that he's leaving his colleagues. I don't think he's not enjoying with his men at all.

I wasn't and am not really a Rivermaya avid fan. I was really into Eraserheads then, but I like some of their songs during their Rivermaya days when Rico and Bamboo haven't left Rivermaya yet. Going back, I think I've heard Rico in an interview that he didn't really leave the band. I think it was them who told Rico that he's somewhat not welcome anymore. Talking about Rico going solo, I don't think he will fail. After all, Rico is a very talented artist. He was an all-around band member of Rivermaya. He played all the instruments before he became the lead singer when Bamboo left the band. I have heard some of his songs in his solo album and I really liked the melody.. Feel good melody I would say. You can try some of them such as Metropolis, Helpless and Your Universe. I think he's doing really good.

I read the article from the Philippine Star saying that he will pursue something out from a music career. He's from our school (Ateneo) and I guess he may pursue something else that is related to the course he graduated from our institution. Let's just wish him the best. The doors of the music industry are always open for artists like him. :)

I think he will not succeed like how Bamboo succeeded but we will never know because Bamboo at the first place looks like he will have a tough time but then he hits the stage of concerts nowadays. But, I like Bamboo better than Rico Blanco. Maybe Rico wouldn't succeed so far.

It depends. If he had that guts like other artist who became successful then Rico Blanco will succeed throughout his career. I think he will succeed because of course it's his choice. He will not do it if it's not his decision, right? Well, we will see if he can do it...

Rico will suceed..surely. He's great.

I think Rico Blanco is known not only as a band member but as Rico Blanco. I think he will succeed. However it will be such of great loss losing a band like rivermaya. They have great songs and had very much succeeded as a band.
