be the captain of your own ship. don't let anyone change the way you think. Live up to your standards. Enjoy ourselves but don't just forget about our studies and our work.

That is a very nice philosophy. If you always be the captain of your own ship instead of letting others steer you in the wrong direction, you will be much better off.
