you are 23 years old and have never been bit by a mosquito before? i believe its histamines in your body that cause the itching and redness, just put a bit of cortazone cream on it for the itching, it will go away in a couple of days on its own. just try not to itch it..makes the redness and swelling worse.

Don't be afraid friend. It will do no harm to you, it only result to malaria when it keeps biting you everyday. I wish am like you who had just a bit.
