Can you sleep without a pillow?

Well I know all of y'all just love your pillows, those soft fluffy pillows, to rest your head on or even hug one to have a comfortable sleep. BUT I was just wondering if you can sleep without one anyday? If you had ot sleep without a pillow can you sleep Or is it just impossible?
I just noticed something last night my brothers pillow had gone for a wash and well we forgot to get it back from the dryers, he made such a fuss that I had to give him mine, though its really not much botherance to me to have to sleep without a pillow.

no i can't. i've tried to sleep without a pillow but it felt so uncomfortable i really couldn't sleep. i really do not need lots of pillows to sorround me in my sleep, one that my head can rest on comfortably is enough for me:)

A lot of pillows? lol you sound like my sister. She needs one for her head, two on each side for her arms, one to hug and one to rest her legs on! lol
Am sure its a lot comfy with so many soft pillows but i'd prefer to have jsut one to rest my head on.

I CAN BUT IT WOULD BE very hard plus i would probably have a stiff neck in the morning.

i tried before but i got a stiff neck that stayed for a week....so i dont think i wont be able to do it again unless of course if im sleeping on a couch or seated on a chair and my head on the table position.

Oh no, leanette...I definitely can't sleep without any pillow at all. I need to have 3 pillows and 1 bolster so I can sleep comfortably. It was a very long time habit of mine already. I use 1 pillow on my head, the next one on my feet and the last one on my back. I knew of one friend who can sleep without any pillow though. Whenever I see her sleeping, I can't help but wonder how can she slept like that.

Although I prefer one, I have frequently slept without a pillow. If I am on a couch, and I need to take a nap, I usually make one with my arms, but it is no subsitute. I have taken a nap on a rocker recliner without a pillow many times, and I don't use my arms either.

Hi,
I had slept with and without pillow. The main difference I felt was if I am so tried and feel so sleepy. I just want to lye somewere I do not bother of pillows. If I want a comfortable sleep mostly I use pillows. In rare cases if I have some pain on back or neck I avoid pillows. Mostly for my body matter I sleep with pillows on wooden bed. With beds on I use pillows too.

That's how I feel too; if I sleep without a pillow..I really don't sleep; so I am sleepy and cranky the next morning..Watch out if I dont have my pillow at night;)

I cannot sleep without a pillow..I usually need two pillows..Come to think of it; it is time for a new pillow.

My pillows take half the space of my bed because they are all around, but I think I can manage to sleep without one. Only that it won't be the same. Pillows give us extra comfort when sleeping. I think it's a must have sleeping accessory! :)

yeah, just like you i am surrounded by pillows each night. but it can be managed to have that needed sleep even if hte pillows are all gone.

I need my pillow to sleep. I have a favorite one that I take with me even when traveling.

I can't sleep without a pillow. I actually like to sleep with two pillows at a time. I need to have a slightly firm pillow that supports my neck. I have some great miracle foam pillows that are so comfortable and help me get a better night's sleep.

I do understand your brothers point. I am lost without my pillows. So much so, I take my pillow with me when I sleep away from home. It's a comfort thing.

I like sleeping time,but sleeping without my pillow will make my night so dark,what i mean here is that i cant sleep without my pillows,i feel like out of breathe without my pillows on.because having my pillows around it will put me into a goodnight sleep.because pillows makes me comfortable while sleeping,i love to hug it everytime i go to sleep.so i always see to it that everytime i go to bed i always have my pillows with me.

Without a pillow, I can still fall asleep. But I don't sleep well. I can always sleep soundly with a soft pillow. I love my pillow neither too high nor too low.

As to me,it's not a big problem.I can fall asleep without a pillow.Sometimes I even force myself to sleep without a pillow when I feel I'm a little crookback.To sleep without a pillow is a good way to rectify your shape.Moreover you should sleep flatly.You can have a try that to sleep without pillow regularly.
