Loosing someone close to your heart

My gradfather died earlier this year and it would have been his birthday tomorrow (31 May) and the heartache I feel now is no less then the day he died.
He was my rock and the anker of our family boat.
He was my role model and always there with advice greater than anyone I know. He never spoke bad about anybody, no matter how much a person would hurt him.
He loved the outdoors - everything about it - animals, birds, plants. I clearly remember the day of his funeral, after everything was over, I sat outside his house with my brother and a fine mist rain decended upon us and I told my brother "even nature is crying for Oupa". With all this heartache, I cannot imagine how my Gran must feel as she was married to him for over 50 years. A person then wonders "did I tell him that I love him enough" and "did he really know how precious he was to me and how much I loved him". I can only pray that he does.
There will NEVER be a greater person than my Oupa and I really just wanted to share this.

I feel said when i read this, last week my grandpa just went for a heart operation. We nearly lose him. It is a fortunate that he is still with us. I am so grateful to God for that.
I am sorry to know about the lost of ur grandpa, just always remind yourself that he is still around, guarding you all like a guardian angel.

Also, when you lose someone, you'll get to learn to be independent. Independent enough to be able to stand on your own and wise enough to show how we love one another because at the end of the day life will always be short.
