How to convert pictures from 1 format to another?

I have lots of pictures ( snapshots) in .gif format.The problem is , when I blog in yahoo's 360, Yahoo accepts only jpe, jpg or jpeg.IS there any software that converts images from 1 format to another?
Also, I am not able to copy and paste images in yahoo 360 blogs. Please reply asap. I have an excellent post to be made, but am unable to do so because of the above mentioned problems...

There are lots of 'em, but here are two decent-looking ones I found on the first couple of pages. Hope this helps!

Through Adobe Photo-shop you can save the .gif images in jpeg or .jpg very easily. Its free too from www.adobe.com. So try in this way to save the images.

As stated, you can save the files as a .jpg. What program do you use exactly? It should be simple like saving your pic and picking the format you want. That's really all you have to do. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll see what else I can do to help.
