To see if it's going to be sunny? I have for a week, we keep getting rain and I've got some nasty stained diapers that need sun. Can you do a dance for sun instead of rain? lol, I don't know why it bugs me to have stains inside the diaper lately! It's amazing how much they can get stained without a week of sun to bleach it out. I like to conserve energy so I've been drying the covers and pockets without inserts in our garage ;)

Hey mememama, try a little bit of hydrogen peroxide in your wash water! Nurses swear by it! It gets blood stains and much more out of white uniforms! Since it is chlorine free, it is not toxic to the environment of the tender skin of your loved one's bottom side! Add 8 ozs to your washer and watch it work wonders! Gets out odors too! At less than 50 cents for the bottle, it is really cheap too! Best of luck!

You could use bleach and that takes much away. Some just have to be rags when you don't wish to use them anymore. Lemon juice is good also but need some sun. On a rack just inside a window with a bit of sun would do the trick I think. Good luck. I too cloth diapered and would not do anything else even at this time.

I think bleach might break down the fibers, at least that's what I read, most of his have fleece on them. I forgot about using lemon, I bet that would speed it up if I ever see the sun lol. Now I'm wondering what my neighbors would think if they saw me hanging them in the windows lmao.

I don't watch the weather forecast when using cloth diapers. If it's a rainy day, then I'll just hang the cloth diapers inside the house, and let the fan do the work. Though it may not be as good as hanging them under the hot sun, it still works this way. I didn't buy a lot of cloth diapers, but only 12. I think it's enough for my baby, and I am watching the cloth diapers every day.

i use natural colored sherpa inside my personal dipes, hard to see stains on that. but we've had lots of sun. i don't have many problems with staining but i really like the hydrogen peroxide idea, i've known to use it on momma cloth but never thought of using it on dipes.

It seems like a 100 yrs since I used cloth diapers...LOL but when I did there was nothing better than the sun to help clean them....it has rained here off and on for 2 weeks....never enough to amount to anything but just enough to have the kids running in and out because of it....LOL
