I have been here for almost 4 months. I have been very active most of my time. But now I am feeling not that much excitement about coming here. I dont have the earlier energy and excitement. I know that many people speak about taking a break and coming back with fresh vigour. But I dont think that really works here. I have been seeing the same discussions I have seen and replied. (Thank God there are from different people. At least I hope it is). I think you will find after spending some time here this site becomes more and more of a news discussion site rather than site to help people and discuss their life. Now we are more and more people discussing other peoples life. So how do you keep up the energy for something like that. Regards

I think we started around the same time, and like you my energy for myLot has diminished. There are many things to like about this site. There are a lot of poeple out there with very interesting discussions that you can join. On the other hand, there are those who are obviously just in it for the money. (I don't really know how this could be, with the pittance you recieve for hours you spend on line) These people start discussions with questions of a few words, and rarely give their own opinion. Others raise personal problems that don't interest me in the least. I found myself not visiting for a day or two, only to be faced with a multitude of time waisting discussions, and I believe the standard has fallen, and this contributes to the lack of interest of those of us who enjoyed giving advice to our myLot friends in the past. I'd say my time here is limited.

Yes we started around the same time. The one thing I am going to remember about the site even after I stop using the site is the friends I made with the site. Not many but a few I could relate to. I am glad to have known you. Best wishes.Regards

These happened to me too early,I'm member here 6 month ,when I enjoyed the site the first few days i didn't fell that I want spend time here.I let the site after few days I traveled for the New Year and I came back at Greece.I came here to see how the site was working,I supposed that I took rest from the travel and I was full of energy to do many things. From the first day I came back here I never live it again.I'm here every day ,even for little if I haven't free time and for sure i spend at least 1 hour before I sleep.I like being here even if sometimes some discussions make me crazy but i didn't thought to live the site even one time. I know that is hard to find good topics but i try be good friend and response to my friends . The best of all is I find here some really good members that i actually response to them not only because they are at my friends list but because I enjoy them topics. You are one of them and you know it,so I hope continue see you here...

I am afraid it is not working for me. I was not that active on May. Still I dont feel any new vigour or energy for the site. You have to try extra hard to find a decent topic here now. May be I dont have the exra time. But anyway thanks for being my friend and I will try to respond to most of your discussions as usual. Regards

Sounds like you're going through burn out. I went through that after my first three days. I posted non-stop and just couldn't do it anymore. I was super tired and wanted no more of it. But, then I got a handle on the My Lot experience and now just do it for fun. Best to stick with the discussions that spark your imagination. Avoid the people that want to be negative. And, there are plenty of them. They'll just bring you down. Here's my best tip. Use the My Lot search engine to search discussions for things that interest you. I do this all the time and am very surprised at how many interesting posts I've missed. It keeps me motivated.

I used to spent most of my free time I get here(which is not that much).I haven't been that active this month. But if you are calculating participation level by the number of post counts. You are going the wrong way. You can have a higher post count by responding to a discussions which you are not interested or bothered about. I respond to only those which are interesting to me. You are going at an incredible speed.Good luck to you.Regards
