Do you give your honest opinion?

Sometimes after reading the opinions of sixty five other people, my opinion changes slightly, but I always give my honest opinion. Just because your opinion is different from (seemingly) everyone else's, it does not mean you are wrong. What is popular is not always what is right, and what is right is not always what is popular.

I am an honest person...I say what I think.....I am able to be honest without being mean about things and will search for the "right words" when I disagree with someone else....I do not go out of my way to hurt someone's feelings....and am a firm believer of using tact.

Yeah i believe honesty is the best policy. I like to give my honest opinions as i really want to help the person. But being honest doesnot mean i would be abusive or argue or be mean to others. I will put my view across politely but firmly and stick by it. I don't one has to have herd mentality just because others are saying to me appears wrong doesnpt mean i will not say what i think is right. Being honest is more important than being popular. On being unattractive i really like inner beauty more than outer beauty. Cheers:)

I feel I voice my opinion very plainly and to the point. Be it right or wrong in others eyes. That's what this site is about anyhow is it not? So if everyone had one point of view and mine was a different point I'd still express it freely. I have yet to run into any problems along this line as of today also. Thankfully anyhow. good question..and yes i would give my honest reply..cause this is a place where i belive we should give out honest replies..to what we feel..and to your second question..no one is unattractive...god made all of us..equally beautiful/handsome..so i dont think we could go that far to call anyone unattractive...maybe not to us..but to someone else they might be attractive...

I think i would be honest even if everyone disagreed. I try to give answers based on what i feel is right. i had to laugh at your question though because a dishonest person is just going to say they would be honest anyway because they are dishonest!

Yes I believe in being honest not cruel. If I don't agree or I do agree and the majority is going the other way I will always stick to my opinion not that I won't take what other people are saying into consideration.

Well,according to me mylot is a platform to share our views and opinions. Everyone has their own way of expressing their thoughts. Somebody does not like your opinion does not mean that he or she has an anamoly. People are different in different parts of the world so do their opinions. I strongly believe that mylot is of the users,for the users and by the users. Hence, we cannot go ahead with somebody disliking your ideas or thought. You judge and rate them based on the facts. No matter how different people are in the world, there is one thing common among all of them that would retain is truth. OF COURSE! I always want to help others out. I defantly give my honest. I'm used to blogging so discussions are a natural another step up. So defantly I would never lie. Being honest is important.

here in mylot i do am honest with my posts especially on my responses. that's how we get to come up with a certain conclusion if everyone is collaborating and contributing one's opinion openly and boldy.

I will give advicer the honest opinion. I can't mind what other's say.

Heeheehee.. Hmmm.. I am not the type of person to like to join the bandwagon. So, I usually say what is really on my mind. hehehe If someone ever asks me if they were good looking and if the majority thought so, but I thought otherwise... hehehe I would probably just use euphimisms.. hehe I suppose I do want to speak my mind.. but I dont want to hurt people by doing so. I would be most likely respond nicely but I would want my message to effectively get across.. ehehehe Sometimes I would start with something like... " Hmm.. people have different opinions about things... hehehe some might be good and some might be bad. " lols then maybe at the concluding part i would lay down the point.. " Some people might find you attractive... and some might not... hehehe and I might be one of the latter. hehehe. But some other person might disagree... its teh beauty of it. lols". lols or something like that.. hehehe I dont know, but I cant totally be rude to anyone. though I wish I can...

Honesty is always the best policy whether it is life in general, or MyLot in particular. Taking your example, i thing i would tell a person that he/she looks unattractive even if the rest think otherwise. But that doesn't end it. Every opinion needs the buttress of strong reasoning, and one should always provide reasons for one's opinions.

i always try to be honest. i do have disagreeing beliefs, too and i say what's on my mind... and i say it nicely. there was one topic i responded to yesterday about harry potter. he says he hates harry potter and ofcourse, since i love the films, i said i disagree. but i always try to express it in the most well mannered way possible. and he did not hate me at all. when it comes to answering discussions about judging if a person or attractive or not, i try to skip those ones. hehe. i hate judging the physical looks of a person. it is not just right i guess.

If someone asks a question in a discussion that is a discussion and not a stupid question then I will answer them honestly. But if they ask a stupid question I wont even respond to the discussion. And if someone that is ugly as a old mud hen asks if they are pretty then I most certainly wont say I think they are ugly. I wont respond to the discussion. My star is low for a reason. I am honest. But I am not going to tell someone I think they are ugly.

I really don't care if sixty five or one hundred and sixty five people responded, I always speak the truth the way I see it. I would never flat out tell anyone they were butt ugly, that's just plain rude but I would never tell anyone they were pretty when I felt otherwise. There are ways of telling the truth without being a troll. One way would be to say, "Well pretty is defined to different people in different ways, and I don't judge people by looks." Using myself for an example I flat out know without no doubt I am not a very attractive woman, but I can tell you as a young person I was very pretty, I had nice features, kept my hair done nice and I never had to fight a bad complexion and I've never been a girl to use a lot of makeup and in fact I wear none now. With age and a horrible weight gain after I quit smoking I literally wrecked my looks. Looks are only on the outside and I know I'm a knock out in the inside, that's all that matters to me.

To be honest, I am not here to kiss butt. My opinions belong to me and I won't change them just to play nice with someone. I except people to be honest with me if they don't agree with my personal opinion so i return it. But I don't attack someone when they disagree with me as I see so many people on here do. As for your question, if I thought I could get away without answering, I wouldn't. But if I had to answer I would try to find the most attractive thing about them and point that out. That way I am not being dishonest but I am not hurting their feelings as bad as if I had said "no, you are butt ugly" lol.

well, my opinion when someone asked me for any thing i should told him the truth to know his advantages so we must be honest and talk with freedom .

I always speak my mind even if there are a million people saying otherwise...but i dont give unsolicited advise or opinion..but if im asked if its good then definitely its not going to be short...but if its bad..its going to be short and simple but not to hurt the persons feelings
