Do you always give tips in the restaurant?

I always tip, regardless of the service (though if it's especially good, I'll leave more than the usual 15%). My mother worked as a waitress for many years, and I plan on waitressing part time sometime soon. The thought of someone not leaving a tip; I find that very rude, since a large portion of a waitress' income is based on tips.

I always leave some sort of tip at a restuarant as my daughter is a waitress and I know that she works hard for her money. Even if I get bad service, I will leave some money. Usually a dollar or two if it is bad.
I do occasionally look at the bill to see if there is a charge added to the bill, but I will still leave a little bit of money.

I always give tip when I eat in a restaurant. If the service is good, I tend to give more tip otherwise normal tip.
Service charges are not included in the bill here. But I know this is done in many Europian countries and they write on the menu card and out side that the service chrges are included.

I don't feel obliged to give tips everywhere and to everybody. Of course when I'm satisfied of the service, then I give it.
You know, tip is the acronym for T(o) I(nsure) P(romptness) so it should be given in advance, if you want to solicit a first class service...
By the way, I have read that in some countries and in some locals there is the habit to give an exact percentage of the bill as tip, but I don't think it is good habit.

I tip according to service. If you are a good waitress I will tip at least 15 to 20 percent. However, that is for a really great waitress. I have had waters and waitress's that are no where near good at their job and I have gone so far as to leave two pennies on the table. On other occations I have walked out without leaving a tip at all. I think if your income depends on how well you serve someone you should work at being the best server you can be so that you make good money.

I don't ever check for a service charge. I tip anyone at a restaurant no matter how good or bad they did. The amount is the only thing that depends on how well they did. The least I'll usually tip is $1, other than that I usually do anywhere from 15%-30%.
