it is rumoured that the new liverpool owner is willing to provide funds for benitez to bring in samuel etoo to strenghten the squad in the summer beating the likes of chelsea and madrid in the race to sign him do you think this is a good signing? will it come true? who else would you think rafa will sign?

i dont think that eto'o is moving to liverpool. its true that liverpool have been spending the most in the transfer window but i think most of their signings are now done and they are no longer going to sign more players except for defenders.
eto'o i think is now being pursued by arsenal.that will be a good addition to their squad if it comes through as they have just lost their star striker to barca.

lots of rumours always fly round about LFC... cant see eto coming here though ..too much of an individual...Liverpool is a bit provincial too for his liking i fear...plus and here is the real issue ..i dont think LFC will pay the money...Rafa has gone on record as saying it is always a chance to bring foreign players who dont know the language and way of life to play in the premiership....the more money he costs the bigger the chance Rafa is taking and i think at the end of the day he is too cautious for that...anyways i dont really think eto
is that great a player....id rather see the likes of Mark Viduka, Jimmy Floyd Haselbank or even M Owen ..these are proven strikers who wouoldnt cost the earth and have that vital experience of the premiership...remember we also have Leto and the other Brazillian on their way here ..plus of course the "top" Ukraine striker Voronin???

Well i think samuel etoo is gonna be overated by his price tag , i dont think he will be suitable to play in Liverpool yea ... gonna waste money if they splash something like 20 milion ....

Eto'o has to be one of the most prolific strikers in the world today. Liverpool currently lacks a big-time striker who can constantly score goals for them. The Dirt Kuyt experiment has to end; although Kuyt is not a bad player, he's not certainly good enough to be a starting striker for one of the top clubs in Europe. Rafa Benitez has always signed these strikers who are at best B-list, and he needs to bring in a world-class striker like Eto'o to not only boost his team's reputation but also to improve his team to fiercely compete for the Premiership.
