Did you know you can get notified when someone responds to...

I hope it keeps it up. I've noticed a few that haven't come to my email, but for the most part, i'm getting them. It's perfect for me b/c i get completely frustrated when i keep going back to look and then no one's responded. Is this a new feature? it just started doing it recently. It always sends when someone's responded to my discussions, but this part is new for me.

yes its new because the feature they always had was the notification on/off button.To notify you in email when your friend starts a discussion.

I love it. It's something i had been wishing for, and then to have it, it's like mylot christmas. And hopefully, it'll get more conversation threads started, too.

LOL Your right, it is very possible that your wife might have deleted it because it looks the same at short title too. ha ha My daughter and I are going to the Shriner Hospital next week for a second opinion. Her current doctor wants to do surgery as soon as she stops growing. And she has been put in a brace...which is very painful. There is more but it is just really hard to talk about because it has become very emotional and hard for her. Thanks for asking. Thank goodness today was the last day of school!!!!

Is it the last day of school? Wow, i guess i'm actually going to have to start paying attention to that stuff!! And i'm going to firmly blame it on my wife deleting it. LOL if i asked her she'd probably say...yep. it was me. Let us know about the Shriners visit, and know that our thoughts and our hearts are with you. I know this is a tough time for both you, your daughter, and probably your entire family. I know that if there's anything any of us can do to help, all you have to do is ask. Or imply. Just make it a strong, STRONG subtle, or not so subtle hint. I've gotten used to my wife who's about as subtle as a freight train. The moral of that story is, if we can help, just yell.

I have been off mylot for quite some time, i'll admit. otherwise we'd probably never have gotten anything done!! I'd been on enough to follow with your daughter, and that the physical therapy isn't working. How is she doing? that must be really hard for all of you. And it may have been working, and it just was that i wasn't getting many responses b/c i wasn't putting out much to be responded to. I've really only noticed it the last couple of days and i love it! LOL or it might be that leslie looks in the inbox and goes, oh, mylot, he'll see them when he goes on the sight, time to clean out the email!! the chances of that are also pretty likely!

LOL okay, i haven't been on mylot for awhile. LOL we're going through the home buying process and just now for a few days has the whole whirlwind slowed down, so i was like, hey! Mylot!! LOL and i started getting emails from responses, and i was so excited...and everyone else has passed the excitement stage, and i'm just now getting started. LOL so....i feel kinda like a moron....but i'm still excited!!

aaahhh. we are moving. we've got everything on our end done, and we're supposed to close on the house June 15th. Although we just found out today that the sellers haven't gotten one of the inspections they were supposed to have done by May 24, so if that holds us up, needless to say, we're a little miffed. We've already given notice to our rental company!! LOL my wife and i are actually quite proficient at the moving ourselves, it's just this time we're buying a house! We moved into this duplex a little over a year ago, vowing not to move till we bought a house, which we thought would be several more years, and haha, a little over a year later......So, i have been off mylot for awhile. it's been pretty insane around here. LOL and in about a week i'll be off it for a couple of weeks again!! but i'll more than likely be back again after that. Just can't stay away!!

wow - what stage are you at in the process now? Stressful time moving house - at one stage in my life I moved house lots of times but I am glad to say I haven't moved for 7 years now! Hey I wouldn't worry about it we all got excited when we started getting the notification via email - you are just as entitled to get excited now that you have had a chance to come back! LOL sorry. :) well, my son's in bed, and the wife's over at the neighbors house, and i'm playing on the computer b/c just about everything else in the house is packed. So with the boy in bed, and the wife away, my amusement right now is mylot, and watching the cat pounce on the dog.

I'm not sure. Pretty much every one in our family and friends circle are all pretty sarcastic and funny, so we've all gotta be on our feet, all the time. LOL it's never fun to be the one who has to say...i don't get it. can you explain the joke? :) but the dog, is a little 6 pound long hair chihuahua, and the cat is a 5 pound black cat who likes to lurk around corners to wait for the poor dog. It's a pretty high amusement factor for everyone but the dog!

LOL i know EXACTLY what you mean. I like to start threads, but i hate going back over and not remembering whether i responded on page 1 or page 4. so you end up going through all of them. And even on highspeed, that can take awhile, so i know a bunch of people just don't do it. But i like to, so i love this. I actually don't have the new discussions go to my inbox b/c some of my friends are quite...prolific in their discussions, LOL. But it is the first place i look on mylot when searching for things to respond to. But this just cuts out all my laziness. I love it!

Yes, I remember when I started here I spent alot of time searching the responses that I had made...not wanting to miss a reply that I did not answer...I was worried that I would offend someone....I too love this new feature and it is a welcome addition to the features here...

LOL then you won't miss the bad old days of trying to hunt down whichever discussion you answered, and then trying to find on which page you answered, just to see if someone wrote you back. LOL I certainly don't miss that part, and am loving this feature. it's one of the best things mylot has done in awhile! I hope you have a good day. I'm trying to make it two more days to the weekend!!

LOL most people just didn't, which lead to threads not getting started. I just like it better this way. I'm lazy. LOL

hehe.. yup!! easy breezy~! i'm glad i don't need to go through what you used to do.. that sounds major! LOL!

LOL that would probably help. I know it made my mylot life easier. But i know what you're talking about, when you have to switch email addresses and EVERYTHING is on the old one. When we switch from our current, i'll have to write down what all is what!

It does make it much much easier to keep track of things. LOL i don't know that email box ever fills to overflowing, but it's still nice to pop on and see mylot responses! And i'm lazy, so with this i can budget my time better on mylot. :)

I'm in the house buying process so i've been insanely busy. It was like mylot christmas since i've gotten to come back a little bit before i disappear again, and i've gotten used to this new feature already. I love it. I really like seeing the responses that i might never have gone back to look for, and having people come back and respond to me again. It just makes it more interesting!

Cool- good luck with the new house and the move and such- We purchased our house a couple of years back- I swear we are just as busy now with it as we were when we bought it- Always remodeling- adding on- etc. I love it though- I also love this feature- that way we aren't just posting responses and having no dialog- Mylot is much greater when you talk with people- or should I say type to people back and forth!

personally, i'd rather sound stupid on a question, than not ask it all! LOL so you're just fine. i went looking for where it was once it started for me, and if you go to edit your preferences, and then go to account information, down at the very bottom there's a box you can check that says "eMail me when someone comments on my response" It doesn't always work, but most of the time, i've noticed that it does. I hope it works for you! It's made mylot much more enjoyable for me!

That's what i like, is being able to discuss, rather than post my opinion and never know....LOL I like starting threads. LOL if you've looked at some of the other discussions lately, you'd never be able to see that. LOL

I would agree completely. Mylot does rule. for all the people out there who say differently, i'd blow a raspberry at them. this new feature really does make it more fun, and you really can get into actual discussions, rather than question and answer, question and answer all the time. I like question and answer, but then i like another answer after that one. LOL
