Wow! 10 dogs at once....I would LOVE that! =P What kinds of dogs were they?!?!
The most we've had at one time is 4. They were a husky, mutt, german shepard rottweiler, and golden retriever. We recently lost 3 of them =/ We only had the golden left, but we got another dog so she wouldnt be lonely! The new pup is also a german shepard rottweiler...and she is a reincarnation of our old one! Which makes my mom very happy :)

Do you mean you had 10 dogs at once?
I never had more than one dog, the first one a Saint Bernhard lady, and years afterwards a male of the same breed. I know that dogs by nature live in packs, but I prefer to be the packleader myself. My fourlegged friend of 180 lbs. in muscles, showed an almost perfect obedience and dedication, and I think this is because there were no other family members to pamper him nor other dogs who could have shared my affection.
Surely it is more fun to hunt with a lot of dogs, but a real love affair rises from mutual dependency.

I've had 4 dogs, currently I only have 3. I have two females and one male, they're mixed breed. The older and the youngest were adopted from the street when they fitted on the palm of my hand. The other one was born from my older one, I watched and helped her to born. Now, Clio is 11 years old and she's a grandma since she was 3 years old. Gracy, her daugther, is 8 years old. Keppler is turning 5 years old this year. I missed when they were puppies, though Keppler still acts like one! hahaha... Well, on second though, I don't miss when they weren't trained and I was cleaning after them all the time... hehehe:D
