a cloud is a large collection of very tiny particles of water or ice crystals. the droplets are so small and light that they can float in the air.all air contains water, but near the ground it is usually in the form of water vapor, when warm air rises it expands and cools.cool air condenses into tiny particles with dust and billions of these droplets forms cloud.due to sunlight they scattered and visible to us as white.before rain the light unable to pass through this tiny particles because thick packing of particles unable to reflect so it visible as gray and different colors depends on the light scattering.due to electro mangneto effective thunder also occurs while raining.please friends say your valuable info

as far as i know the coulor of clouds is determined by the concentration of water particles. So light grey or white have very low concentrations of water where as black ones are heavy with rain
