Do you think a college degree matters? We know of quite a few who have experienced success in life without having finished a degree. And we also know people who have earned degrees but whose lives are quite disappointing. What's your opinion on this?

A college degree is usually one of the requirements for getting a job in professional fields that are not a form of manual labor. While a degree is what opens some doors, most of the time it is how much you are willing to put into your work that determines your overall success. I know people who have never gotten their high school diploma who do better than people with college degrees. This is actually becoming more common now because more people are getting college diplomas who don't know what to do with them.
In the end, success in life has nothing to do with the degrees you hold. It has everything to do with what you do in life. Wealth is a different matter.

The situations you mentioned are true. However, have you ever noticed how many percents of those without a college degree have succeeded? And how many of those with a college have succeeded?
I still believe a college degree is a necessary prepration for one to be success.
