I just recalled a lesson in my Values class in high school: My teacher said it would be great if you could smile at everyone even at strangers, as you could lighten up their day. My classmates joked around and said: "Teacher, wouldn't we look like crazy people if we smile at everybody??" - then the entire class just laughed out loud without having the question answered.
I would just want to know: Can you actualy smile at strangers??
Me, I really can but I still 'choose' the stranger which I am to smile at. LOL

It's not unusual around my area to say hi or nod and smile at strangers. Walking down the street or in the grocery store I feel comfortable making eye contact. Some people choose not to and that's fine, but it doesn't stop me from smiling at them. Maybe I can make they're day a little brighter. :)

I think it is really nice to smile at a stranger. People don't always smile back of course as they might feel a bit uncomfortable, but it is a great feeling when they do smile back. And you can even make a new friend if one of you says something after the smile. Ever heard the saying 'every stranger is a potential friend'?

yes i know it is good to smile on stranger. but smiling on every stranger will make you a light person. it is under personality that you should not smile too much. but talking all the things in serious. but when condition arises then you can smile. if some one is watching you then you can respond to him/her and say hi. but if you smile to every one then it seems to be crazy.

anyone can smile at a stranger - whether they punch you in the face or smile back is another thing! I think it also depends largely on where you are in the world countrywise as well as the culture you live in.

i can't smile on every stranger. but if i find some person interested in me and looking to me. then i will smile over him and may say him hi. but if a person is in his own mood then i am not going to respond him any way. it is good to smile on stranger but if you smile on every one then people will take you lightly. you mush possess a weight by not smiling too much in your personality.

When I used to go to school daily I used to meet a lady on my way, she really looked very sweet to me so one day I gave a smile and from that day onwards we used to smile whenever we used to cross each other without even knowing. But not everyone I feel you can give a smile.
