Which would you guys prefer? Is being portable important? As far as I know, if you get a laptop, you might as well get the very best. Laptops cannot be upgraded, that is what I've learned while working for Dell. for desktops, the only downside is of course, you cannot bring it around. So which one would you go for?

I think it's essential that you have a desktop at your home, but I would prefer to use a laptop. It's portable and you can take it anywhere using it anytime you want. I agree with something you mentioned. It is important that you get the best if laptops cannot be upgraded. Laptops are very expensive and I don't think I will be buying one anytime soon. Desktops are great because they can be upgraded by just adding a few parts.

I think so too, h_gaurd9. Before you get a laptop, I think it would be best to invest in a desktop first. You are right about when it comes to upgrading a desktop. You can buy parts individually.

I think it depend for what purpose you using the computer for.Like I did I use laptop coz I still study abord so it could be hard if you take you desktop everytime in a plane. If you moving alot use laptop. If you more to a gamer, downloader or just like high perfomance computer just use desktop. But it will eventually end to you decision.

I certainly agree on that. Thank you for you post. I believe that computer companies have already manufactured a great laptop for gamers. Since I've worked for Dell, I saw that the system is pretty neat. Memory is loaded, the processor is top of the line and the graphics are excellent. But you really have to have a lot of money coz it doesn't come cheap.

That is what I thought too. I mean if you travel alot, and cannot afford to be away frm the computer, then you definitely need a laptop. Thank you for your post. I appreciate it.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. I really think that it depends on the user. Well, I think in this generation portability is a growing necessity. Everybody wants something that is slim and handy.
