Last month, Federal Agents conducted a raid on the Southside of Chicago in a Hispanic neighborhood, they swarmed the small mall, outfitted with bullet proof vests, and had carried weapons. Apparently they had the mall under surveillance for at least a year and had information that illegal ID's including fake drivers licenses, fake US resident cards, etc.. the operation spanned over several states including New York, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa and netted between $ 2 million - $3 million a year! The " hub" or headquarters was located in this photo shop that happened to be owned by none other then the Alderman's dad! Of course, that same day, on tv everyone that lived in the neighborhood had to have their screams of " racism, racial profiling, rights being taken away" heard by millions of people. Off camera they admitted that they knew this illegal activity was going on, but one had to understand how desperate these illegals were to get a job.
Now, we find out, that no, there was no racism, or racial profiling, but rather a good investigation, that proved that yes indeed illegal things were going on in that little shop. I find it interesting that the Alderman had no clue as to what dad was doing he is reported to be " surprised". Now that he knows, I hope that he stands by his position that those caught aiding and abetting illegals should be jailed, we shall see.
