Yes they do exist. And i believe they are just like us, desperatly trying to find contact with others. But the universe is just so damn huge, we're all so far away... even light travels billions of years when it reaches to places... it's all so sad to think about. Then again im sure people will eventually come up with a way to travel faster than light... maybe not physically travelling... perhaps some other way. The mind way, im not sure...

well...i knew that it doesn't have a mass...if an object would travel faster than that, the friction will cause the atmosphere to blow up,and the object would compress to nothing...thats what i heard...it maybe wrong...:-D

Thanks for elaborating that much, Senna! Your question has actually made me thinking that we like to align alien with something unfavorable. It also gets me to think that maybe the most frightening alien of all is myself when things seem to be against me =)

yes,you may...:) i was wandering if we are the only living creatures in the universe,so the only logical link i made was with aliens(not the one from the movies but a life form of some sort...) i don't like the movie type of alien because it is not realistic...

It would be unreasonable to assume otherwise, there is a large amount of evidence ( other than Von Dannikan) to support this, including; pictorial records from prehistory to the present, oral history in unconnected tribes plus written records.
However not all the articles submitted to Nexus are necessarily true but that doesn't mean that they all are bogus.
It would be very arrogant or just myopic to think in All the galaxies we are the only life forms.

I think when/if it is conclusivle proven that life exists on other planets, there are going to be some serious consequences for some of Earth's major religions!
If WE were created in God's image and THEY aren't EXACTLY like US, then who created them? I can see the issues with homosexuality etc. being forgotten in favor of preaching against our newly discovered galactic neighbors:-(
