Creating a marketing resource site is a good idea. There are loads of products at clickbank and commission junction that people can utilize on their resource site.
The key is to do your research of those products. Write up some solid info for each product. Perhaps even post some reviews and testimonials.
You will make greater sales if you do the above instead of just posting the name of the service and a link.
I think its better to not go overboard. After all, you will need to keep the site updated and if you list a lot of resources, then you are going to have a lot to keep updated.
Stick to high quality products that people want, high conversion rates and high resell payouts.

Great information Valerie! I have been working on my site Internow.net for a while now. There's no rush for me, I just want to give the right first impression right off the bat. For now I still use the site to capture e-mails and get Agloco referrals. The Marketing Pond Pages you have made work great for me, and I will keep using those for a while. I'm starting to make great money with it!

I actually started a resource site some time ago and it's been collecting dust, I need to get back to it and update it now that I've finally decided what I'm going to focus on. I included tips for affiliates and some new affiliate broker sites that I'd found.

I'm embarrassed at how out of date it is. It's been on the to-do list for a few weeks now.
