What are your cats' names? Why did you call them like that? Among them (if you have 3 or more), who is your favorite, tell me his name (and why you gave him that name) and what makes him/her your favorite?I'll set the trend first:
* Poypoy - My favorite among my cats, I call him Poypoy because it's derive from a Tagalog word "pulot" meaning picked up from the street.
* Chubby - because she is a chubby, round cat (one of the two first cats I have)* Little Girl - one of my first two cats, she's the one responding when I called to them "little girls" back when they were kittens.
* Oscar - from the Sesame street character "Oscar the Grouch", because I picked him up from a garbage pile.
* Rascal - I found this cat in the ditches. He was very dirty at that time, like a rascal (or in the movie "little rascals")
* Batman - my black cat, resembling Bruce Wayne's alter ego.
* Precious - my white cat, I call her by that name because she looked like Gollum (LOTR) when she was a kitten
* Scooby - because he acts like a dog, a bit clumsy, likes hard cuddles and rough pats like a canine. no feline grace noted.
* Roadkill - due to her mixed fur colors (abstract orange, black and white), she resembles someone being ran down by a speeding car.
* Jacko and Billie Jean - a male and a female, respectively, both have black fur all over and white feet, like Michael Jackson with his black pants and white socks.
* Johnny - another black cat of mine, I used to call him "Johnny Midnight" from a character in the move "Constantine"

Im wondering, do you have all of them now or are they ones you have had throughout the years?
I have had a total of 10 cats my entire life, the majority i had when i was younger, but we moved alot, and most of the time we couldnt take them.
1. Tigger, he was carmel and white.
2. Smokey, he was a medium grey color
3. Cali, she was a tourtis shell calico
there are about three more that i had when i was younger and i cant remember.
My more recent cats are
1. Trip, he was a orance stripped one, my husband got me him as a suprise. We were moving, and i couldnt take him for the long ride to our new home, so i gave him to my grandmother, and he got out and got hit by a car:(
2. Onyx. She was a pure black cat, she had gold eyes. I had to leave her behind when i left home to be on my own.
3. Whitey, He was my great aunts cat, and when she passed, it was either put him down, or take him home, his mom was still alive, and she went to live w/ my cousins. Whitey was 25 when we put him down last year, yes 25 years old in ppl years. I had to put him down becuase he was going blind and deaf was in pain when he walked and was loosing wieght for no apparent reason. It was just his time. His mom blacky, ( yes my aunt wasnt creative with names:) ) she is still alive and is going on 28 years old.
4. my last cat i have now, whiskee, he is just heading on a year old, and is part ragamuffin, we believe. He is almost calico colors, and very playful.. He sometims thinks he is a dog.
Whitey and Whiskee i think have been my favorites. They both were bigger cats, in bone structure and wieght, not overwieght unhealthy, you just couldnt feel thier bones when you pet them. They both were polydactyl, meaning thier paws resemble mittens.:)

My cat's name is "Mystic" I named her that because she is a very mysterious cat. She does weird things likes weasel she must think she's a weasel she will stand like one and walk like one too. Sometimes I think we should have named her weasel but I guess that's her nickname but she knows her name is "Mystic" she is a black cat with green eyes.

Wow, how many? I have got 3, Cory- we got him for my daughter 5 years ago and she named him, Pandora- because we found her along with her 4 kittens in a box, we found homes for 3 of the kittens and kept one because he only has three legs, Jo Jo as it was easy to call him in from the garden!

I only have one cat right now, and I call her Kitty. I can't think of a good name for her, but I call her all sorts of things. I call her snuggles, sweetheart, and a few other things.
My previous cats, though were named -
Ooneedale - I was a kid, and wanted my cat to have a reaaaaaally different name. So, I put letters together, sounded them out, and came up with this one or Jabooboo. I went with this one. lol.. My dad refused to call her Ooneedale, but he slipped up one day, and I pointed it out.
Oobee - Another time that I put letters together, and sounded them out. I was a weird kid.. lol
Boogersnot - He sneezed a lot when I had him, and yeah, you can imagine. I was still a kid.. lol
Tom - Named him that because he was a tom cat, and loved to prowl around at night.
Fat Cat - He climbed into my dad's truck while he was at the lake, and took the ride home. lol.. He turned into a huuuuuuuge fat, and lazy cat.
Buff The Stuff - My dad's kitten, actually, and he's the one who named him. He named him after the wrestler lol..
Bootsie - She was a black and orange calico, with white feet.
Pumpkin - She didn't have a tail, and she was orange. She looked just like a little pumpkin.
Butterscotch - She was a tortoise shell, and had a lot of butterscotch colored markings. She drooled a lot, though, when she got attention. lol..
Miss Kitty - She was an outside cat, and she was always acting high and mighty lol..
Oreo - He was black and white. I brought him home from work one night. He had a bad temper.
Bouncer Bob - One day, I was taking out the trash, and I set the bag beside the door, and went to put another bag into the trashcan. Bouncer was soooo curious. He went over to check the bag out, the bag shifted, and that cat jumped so high.. I thought I would die laughing. From then on, he was Bouncer. Not to mention, he would bounce over the weeds in the field, when he was running up to the porch. Bob comes from bobtail, because he was born without a tail.
Snotwad - (I'm still a kid at heart, lol.. A weird one) He had a lot of allergy problems. And he was always sneezing, and yeah.. You can imagine.
Piglet - This cat looooooooved to eat. My gosh lol.. she would've eaten me out of house and home, had I let her.
PoppyTart - Everytime I walked in the room, his head would pop up. It was so cute, so he got the name PoppyTart.
Peanut - Also called FlufferNutter, PeanutButter, and NutterButter. She looked like a little gray peanut when she was born, because she was born without a tail.. lol..
Possum - He looked like an opossum when he was born. He lovedddddddd to be held. He would literally climb my legs to get me to hold him. He loved to be held like a baby, and sang to, as well. He snored a lotttttt.. lol.. I even recorded him one night.
Tigger - She looked like Tigger, from Winnie The Pooh, and had the attitude of Tigger, too.
Punkin' - He was orange, and fat.. lol.. He was a big baby, too.
And now, I have Kitty. Kitty seems to fit her perfectly. She adopted me, actually, instead of me adopting her. I was sitting here with the door open, one night last summer. And she walked in, jumped up on me, rolled over on her back, and hasn't left since. lol..

I've only had a few cats throughout my life, but they never cease to amaze me. They all have such distinct personalities.
Killer - When he was just a kitten, he would come running up to you and pounce, thinking he was this BIG lion so we named him Killer.
Peaches - Not sure why we named her that. She was a beautiful calico with some orange spots, but still not sure why Peaches.
Drag Belly - This was a barn cat at my grandmother's house. She had ump-teen litters of kittens and I was young when I named her. I guess her belly always dragged across the gravel when she walked.
Edgar - Again, not sure why we named him this.
Momma Kitty - My grandma named her this because whether it was her own kitten or a stray, she always took it in and nursed it.
So, with all of these cats, I would have to say that Killer is my favorite. He meows at night and it sounds like he's saying "Hellloooo". He meows a certain way when he's out of food or his litter box needs to be cleaned. If he feels neglected, he will lay, on his back, in your path so you will reach down and scratch his belly. If you ignore him and walk past, he'll nip at your ankles or pant leg. It never fails when I go to bed, he's right up there with me with his head on my pillow purrring away!

Goodness Gracious those are a lot of cats! i used to have 18 cats in the house at one time so i gave some up to willing friends! Now i have only 3 cats, one female and two males.
The female is named DeeDee after the character in Cartoon Dexter's Secret Library, she is the oldest of the bunch, 3 years old, has orange and pure white fur! and like your cat scooby DeeDee loves hard cuddles and rough pats! she has the habit of coming up and banging her head against my feet very hard.
Sibbo has light golden fur, is very over weight and loves to just lay around! he is 2 years old and is from DeeDee's very first litter.
Last but not least there's Arnie! i dont have a particular explanation why i named him Arnie, i guess cause he likes to roughhouse it with Sibbo who is never least bit interested and is very active and playful!
There you go! these are my cats, i have a 2 year old Golden retriever named Ariel, a pet turtle named Oswald, a tank full of gold fishes, two Macaws and a toad named Merlin!

We only have one kitty cat right now and her name is Sally. The kids love the CARS movie and since she is a girl, they named her after the car Sally in that movie. We had a cat before we had children and his name was Linus. We got him at 6 weeks old and he was a very sweet kitten. He turned into a monster! Biting and hissing. We had him put down when he was two because I was pregnant and the vet said we should not have him around children. The vet said something was not "wired" right with him. But Sally is sweet as can be and very playful. We all love her!

I love cats... I have five of them... Here are their names:
Ikea = I just love the way it sounds; she sleeps on my lap while I type away here at my comp.
Fushigi = he is Ikea's son, he sweet, loves to purr and rub himself at me...
Miyaki = she is also Ikea's daughter. She loves to climb on my window and stare at me when I'm cooking.
Eekrem = a friend of mine gave him to me. If you spell it backwards, that would be my friend's name.
Midnight = black as night. I almost stepped on him one time when it was dark.

We have 5 cats..all just around a year give or take a month either way. Just before we had these five we had a grey male that we called Chakra...he was the namesake of another grey cat that was named that as well. Chakras are wheels within the human energy system and these two cats had some unusual energies. Chakra II got out one day and never came back so we adoped a black cat whom we named Nexus. Nexus is the middle, the beginning, the end...she is a beautiful little being and the name suits her.
Afer that we added four barn cats to the mix. They were born a month a part. The first set are brother and sister and the female is called Ellie...because she is grey with big green eyes and that name just seemed to fit her. Her brother is a mocha colored cat with amber eyes and we called him Nova...because he has a unique energy about him as well.
Then came the two ginger marmalade twins...both males and very different in personalities. TeeTooh the smaller one was named because we heard it before and liked it. Tigger his big brother reminded us of Tony the Tiger and that is how he got his name.
Good for you that you have adopted so many cats and given them a loving home. They are lucky to have you!

We haev 4 cats in our faimly:
Lenore- i named her this because i really love Edgar Allen Poe and i think The Raven is an amazing poem.
Timothy- Dad gave him this name. i really don't know why...he kinda seems like a Timothy.
Clarice- i suggested this name to my brother because it is pretty and it's from a creepy movie.
Anabel Lee- my mom named her this partially at my suggestion because we both love this poem by Edgar Allen Poe.
Of all the cats, Lenore is my favorite, but i am biased. She is my own little kitty and i am her mommy. She is my daughter! Of COURSE he is my favorite.

Right now, we have only 1 cat Tinkerbelle shares her Throne with our dog. The girls named Tinkerbelle after of course Peter Pan's Tinkerbelle. Her colors are pretty neat, kind of multi colored black/grey and white. Tigger ( DOD - Dec 26, 2004) name again after Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, I thought was the best cat, Tinkerbelle has since filled his " paws", I have to admit I love her to pieces ( and I used to be strictly a dog owner). She climbs up on the back of the bathtub and rolls down it like a kid would roll down a hill, I laugh so much I cry.
