Have All The Movie Creators Run Out Of Ideas?

It seems every new season always promises new box office flix. Right? And they seem to come in chunks. Summer is for action/comedy, fall is for drama/love, winter is drama/horror, and spring is suspense/dry humor, well thats how they've been for a few years. Previews have always been the highlight of the movies for alot of people I know as well as myself, they do give you something to look forward to afterall. However, doesn't it seem like lately all the huge "coming soon" features have been sequels or re-makes? Don't get me wrong, some have been done very well and the story had to be continued, I understand that. Then there are the almost ridiculous ones. You know... Like how Land Before Time ended up. With about.... 8..or so parts? I can't remember, if you can let me know. With all the new blockbusters that had so much hype in previews, its so odd to hear that the most anticipated were rated pretty low... yet they racked in the money... The funniest part is... those same movies are the ones I hear from friends are as bad as the critics say. No justice to the firsts. Which recently released or soon to be released movies do you think is over done, going to be awesome, or just plain silly for coming out? Who else feels the creators have lost their new, creative, ingenious, unpresidented edge on story lines?
